ICCMR 2013 – International Congress of Complementary Medicine Research 11th – 13th April 2013 The 8th annual International Congress of Complementary Medicine Research will be held in Central London, at the University of London Institute of Education over 3 days. This is the leading international research conference attracting the outstanding international researchers within this field. ICCMR 2013 will focus on the global sustainability of healthcare for long term conditions such as diabetes, chronic pain, cardiovascular disease, psychological problems, neurodegenerative conditions and arthritis. In addition to the nine previously advertised keynotes, the Congress Committee are pleased to announce that Professor Brian Berman has also kindly agreed to provide a keynote address at the Congress. Brian Berman is Professor of Family Medicine and the founder and director of the University of Maryland Centre for Integrative Medicine, the first centre for research, education and clinical care in complementary and integrative medicine based in a US academic health centre. The morning of 11th April will feature a number of Pre-Congress Workshops, with the programme proper beginning after lunch. The Congress Committee are currently accepting submissions and are pleased to confirm the following Pre-Congress Workshops: – Medicine and CAM in Health Care Professions Education. – Health Economics in Complementary and Integrative Medicine – Recent Results and Introduction into Methods. – Anthroposophic Medicine: 90 Years of Integrative Medicine. A Patient-Centered Whole-Systems Approach – Systematic Review Research Methods Training: Focus on CAM The congress committee is also please to confirm the ISCMR Young Researchers Session: How to Improve Your Research Potential, which will take place on Friday 12th April. We are currently accepting abstracts for oral and poster presentations at ICCMR 2013. We expect to offer at least 120 oral presentation opportunities and to be able to showcase at least 200 posters at the Congress. Opportunities are also available for Pre-Congress Workshops and Congress Symposia. The deadline for all submitted abstracts is 15th October 2012.
